Weight Management

Here at Colne Valley Vets, we strive to make a real difference in the battle against pet obesity. We have been running successful weight clinics at the Practice for many years and are delighted to have achieved the accolade of Approved Weight Management Status from Royal Canin.

To gain approved centre status, we were required to establish formal Weight Management Clinics and work as a team to identify and help pets with weight concerns. We work together to educate owners on keeping their pets at a healthy weight throughout life.

The initial weight clinic is a 30-minute appointment with a trained weight management nurse, followed by ongoing monitoring weight checks, personalised advice, and telephone support.
