Ordering Medications

Please note:

  • You may obtain Prescription Only Medicines Veterinary (POM-Vs) from your veterinary surgeon OR ask for a prescription and obtain these medicines from another veterinary surgeon or a pharmacy.
  • Your veterinary surgeon may prescribe POM-Vs only for animals under their care.
  • A prescription may not be appropriate if your animal is an in-patient or immediate treatment is necessary.
  • You will be informed, on request, of the price of any medicine that may be dispensed for your animal.
  • The general policy of this practice is to re-assess an animal requiring repeat prescriptions every 6 months, but this may vary with individual circumstances. The standard charge for a re-examination can be obtained from your Vet.
  • Further information on the prices of medicines is available on request.

Repeat Medications

Clients:  Please use the form below to request repeat medications for your animal. Please allow at least two working days' notice so that your request can be authorised by a veterinary surgeon.

If you require medications for more than one pet, please submit a separate request for each animal.

We generally ask to re-examine your pet every six months, to look for any changes in the condition and for any side effects or new problems. The law requires that this check is performed when prescribing prescription-only medicines.
